The au-pair program is for young people between 17-30, but the age limits varies between countries. Traditionally only females participate in this program, but there are also host families willing to receive male au-pairs.

This option also gives the opportunity to stay in a foreign country cheaply, attend classes and have free time to make new friends and visit new places in your days off.

Au-pairs live with a family taking part in daily domestic tasks and helping to look after their children. These domestic tasks are only light house work such as; washing up, moping, hovering, etc. In exchange for carrying out tasks pocket money, accommodation in their home and all meals are provided for by the host family.
